Go on a journey, where you are not a tourist, but an appreciative guest and observer, a part of the environment.  (After reading our philosophy, please take a look at the » The Goal of Exit To Africa as well.) Africa needs our help... but how do we help? Take » a look at how we contribute.
Our approach to travel in Africa is entirely unique among Africa travel agencies. We will prepare a customized itinerary based on your interests, permitting your travel to Africa to be intimate, not touristy. To do this we provide you with an American guide, who has traveled extensively in Africa and has contacts in many nooks and crannies in any region you travel. An American guide understands your comforts, and is the perfect bridge to travel among Africans without the psychological barrier of being touristy. We have sampled hotels, lodges, safari companies, road conditions, cities, restaurants, activities and many more details, giving us first hand experience in ensuring your enjoyment. Don't follow the itemization of your packaged safari or a ceaseless caravan of tourists, follow the rhythm of Africa at a pace you choose.
We feel that one of the most memorable part of the trip is who you meet. We want you to interact with people, not "natives". » A few of our friends in Africa
With us you can move freely without the hassle of a packaged schedule. Decide last minute to enjoy the breeze on Zanzibar for the last 2 days of your safari, instead of dealing with cheeky monkeys. Do this, but the only way possible, with a guide who knows Africa. » Our guides
How we plan a trip: We will meet with you as necessary before your journey and discuss travel options. We are happy to give a free photographic lecture/presentation on travel in Africa to all those interested in Africa (please inquire by email or phone). We encourage phone consultation and email. Our Africa archive includes brochures, books, maps, video, client references, etc as we continually gather information about Africa.
How long are our trips? We have planned tours from 6 days to 6 months. » Some previous trips
