1. So this page continues our saga in Madagascar. This page wraps up our stay in Morondava and we decided to fly back to Tana the capitol, instead of going by road/river/ocean along the southwest of Madagascar. This is just a shot from the plane of the river we were on, or possibly the river we were on. Who knows?

2. A warm welcome awaited me at the airport.

3. I tried to get photos of what I saw as the "daily life" of Tana. The houses, villages, markets, streets, and people we came across. I like Tana. A lot of people say that it is crowded and polluted, and it is, but it has its own style. It's sorta half medieval and half modern with an African/ Asian twist. It is very vibrant. Hopefully, these photos will give you an impression of what I am talking about. I love walking the streets, snacking on the local fried food (lots of mini fried veggies) and wandering up and down long staircases, narrow alleys and broad avenues. The city is very hilly, sorta like San Francisco, but not as dramatic. Lots of cobble stone streets.
